What is Agent Experience (AX)?
Mathias Biilmann coined the term Agent Experience (AX) to describe the holistic experience AI agents have when discovering, choosing, and using technology. AX measures propensity, whether agents find and choose a technology, and efficacy, whether they use it correctly. The author outlines the AX stack—comprising docs, agent extensions, and interfaces—and demonstrates through specific measurements that optimizing documentation and interfaces often yields better agent outcomes than shipping new extensions or changing models.
