Vibe coding tools like Google Stitch generate interfaces rapidly but produce executable prototypes, not production-ready systems — a distinction the term itself obscures. The industry's cultural shift now demands visible, interactive output before architectural decisions are trusted, effectively replacing invisible reasoning with the appearance of progress. Renaming the practice "vibe prototyping" would be more honest, but the deeper fix requires designers to explicitly separate surface demonstrations from structural decisions.
