MacPaw explored moving beyond typical text-box AI interfaces, leading to Eney, a proactive assistant designed as an expressive character rather than a chatbot. Designers chose a circular pink figure with minimal facial features, prioritizing warmth, approachability, and restrained emotional expression over flashy or distracting UI. Despite AI streamlining design work, human judgment, artistic intent, and curiosity remain essential and increasingly valuable in the AI era.
