The Parasite Fallacy
Being a system of record is no longer enough in the age of agents. The value is quickly shifting to the 'system of action'. Databases are cost centers, whereas agents that can complete tasks are value multipliers. Companies that focus on how to tax the consumption of their data rather than how to enable better actions become more of a utility than a platform. The goal should be to create value by being the best place to execute.
