Tether Launches Self-Custodial Wallet With Gas Abstraction
Tether.Wallet is a self-custodial platform that replaces hex addresses with human-readable Tether names and supports USDT across Ethereum, Polygon, Plasma, and Arbitrum, alongside XAUT, USAT, and Bitcoin with Lightning. Transaction fees are deducted directly from the transferred asset, removing the need for users to hold separate gas tokens. The platform is targeting Tether's existing 570 million users as the adoption base, projecting tens of millions of new wallets added per quarter.
