Snowflake launches AI agent governance layer to track activity, control costs
Snowflake unveiled Cortex AI Gateway, a runtime control plane for tracking agent actions, enforcing access policies, and monitoring token usage and costs across models, tools, MCP servers, and enterprise systems. Built using technology acquired from Natoma, the service integrates with Snowflake's Horizon Catalog and is expected to enter public preview soon.
