Schneider Electric to Acquire Software Firm PTC for $22.6 Billion
Schneider Electric has reached an agreement to purchase PTC in a full cash deal valued at around $22.6 billion for the software company's equity, amounting to $205 per share. The transaction, which has an implied enterprise value of $23.7 billion, is anticipated to conclude by the third quarter of 2027, pending approval from shareholders and regulators. Schneider Electric intends to finance this acquisition through a combination of €5–6 billion in new equity and €16–17 billion in debt.
