SaaS Isn't Dead. Sameness Is
SaaS is not disappearing, but cheap AI-assisted software generation will weaken the standardized applications and seat-based pricing that defined it. Vendors may instead provide underlying services such as authoritative data, compliance, security, integrations, networks, and operational accountability, while customers create more tailored applications for smaller internal audiences.
