Rust 1.99 Linux bug affects bool returns on x86_64
A regression in Rust 1.99.0 on x86_64 Linux systems causes C-ABI functions returning boolean values to potentially pass incorrect data. This occurs because the upper bits of the return register are not properly cleared, a side effect of changes made to address a different issue on AArch64. Developers encountering this problem can revert to Rust 1.98 or use a u8 return type as a temporary solution until a fix is released.
