Relace has introduced Fast Agentic Search (FAS), a specialized subagent designed for codebases. This reinforcement learning-trained agent identifies relevant files for user queries by employing multi-step reasoning and parallel tool execution. FAS explores file paths concurrently, reducing end-to-end latency by four times compared to sequential methods while maintaining similar accuracy. Relace states that integrating FAS into production systems decreases median latency and token consumption without negatively impacting downstream performance.
