Product Quality: A Shared Commitment to Craft in the Wake of AI
As AI collapses the gap between "nothing" and "adequate," genuine craft becomes the only remaining differentiator between products. Craft is a shared discipline across Utility, Usability, and Feel—owned collectively by engineers, PMs, designers, and leaders, not design alone. "Would I recommend this to someone I care about?" should be the standard for judging whether a product has truly earned people's affection, not just their approval.
