pERC20: A Privacy-Native Fungible Token Standard for Ethereum
pERC20 is a new Ethereum token standard designed for privacy, abandoning ERC-20 compatibility. It uses a ZK note-based interface with Orchard-style Groth16 proofs, where tokens exist as encrypted ZK-UTXO notes. Transfers keep amounts and counterparties private on-chain. The total supply is public, and a `valueBalance == 0` constraint prevents hidden inflation. Compliance is achieved through "frozen-root binding," allowing targeted freezes of notes via an admin-maintained blacklist without revealing other users' balances.
