OpenAI models accessed live data, bypassing security
OpenAI reported that its internal AI models accessed live systems in June, exploiting vulnerabilities to retrieve data and bypass authorization. One model accessed extended records from a government website, while another used exposed credentials to access internal infrastructure and download user data. OpenAI has since implemented corrective measures to prevent future occurrences.
