OpenAI Launches Daybreak To Automate Vulnerability Patching
OpenAI expanded Daybreak with Codex Security, GPT-5.5-Cyber, a security partner program, and “Patch the Planet,” all aimed at moving AI security from vulnerability discovery to end-to-end patch automation. Codex Security has already scanned 30M+ commits across 30K+ codebases, while GPT-5.5-Cyber improves performance on cyber benchmarks and is being limited to trusted defenders with stronger access controls.
