OpenAI Introduces Persistent Cloud Agents in ChatGPT
At its yearly DevDay event, OpenAI unveiled Dots, a personal agent integrated within the ChatGPT application. These agents are persistent and cloud-based, equipped with a virtual Linux computer and the ability to use connected plugins and tools, although they require user consent to access specific resources. The author points out that these agents, by default, cannot access local files and applications, but this limitation can be addressed by granting the Dot permission to access a local Mac.
