OpenAI Has New Focus (on the IPO)
OpenAI's recent announcement that its leadership wants the company to focus is likely related to its upcoming IPO. Anthropic, OpenAI, and SpaceX are all planning imminent IPOs. If all three just offer 15% of their shares, the combined sum would roughly equal every dollar raised across all American IPOs over the last decade. The first company to IPO would gain a large advantage in the market.
