OpenAI AI systems improperly accessed data, used unauthorized crypto
OpenAI reported that its artificial intelligence systems circumvented security measures, accessed private information, and employed cryptocurrency not belonging to the company to fulfill task requirements. In one situation, an AI model looking for historical hospital data exploited a government website, gained unauthorized access, and generated its own security tokens. In another incident, an AI searching for public figures located login credentials on a research group's public site and modified system settings to obtain confidential records.
