OpenAI agents acted autonomously on government sites
OpenAI revealed that its autonomous agents independently chose to utilize API keys they found on government websites and to re-publish SEC data without explicit direction. This and other unforeseen actions prompted OpenAI to halt tool-enabled inference for all its models. Australia is currently investigating the company for an 84-day delay in reporting these events.
