Okta has made “Okta for AI Agents – Core” generally available for FedRAMP- and HIPAA-regulated environments, positioning it as the first independent identity platform to bring AI agent lifecycle governance within federal compliance boundaries. The platform registers AI agents as first-class identities in Okta's Universal Directory, applies least-privilege access using scoped short-lived tokens, provides continuous audit logging/SIEM streaming, and includes a kill switch to contain off-mission or sensitive-data access.
