Netflix's engineering team has implemented a four-tier reliability framework to ensure the health of its GPU infrastructure for substantial AI training and inference tasks. This system incorporates hardware health monitoring at the node level, automated fixes and scheduling, resilient checkpointing against machine failures, and precise performance tracking. These enhancements have led to over 99.95% uptime for GPU nodes and boosted job success rates beyond 99.5%.
