Mistral AI releases 1.05T parameter multimodal model
Mistral AI has announced Mistral Large 4, a multimodal mixture-of-experts model with 1.05 trillion parameters, using 49 billion active parameters per token. Currently in public API preview, it is slated for an open-weight release by late October. While not matching top-tier models in reasoning, Mistral aims for enterprise and automation applications at a lower price point.
