Microsoft and Meta reduce Anthropic Claude usage
Microsoft and Meta have instructed their employees to decrease their internal use of Anthropic's Claude AI model. Reports indicate Microsoft significantly cut its projected internal spending on the model, reducing it by more than a third from a prior peak of $1 billion annually. Meta also halved the number of active internal users for its Claude Code assistant, from approximately 60,000 down to 30,000. Both companies are encouraging staff to switch to alternative internal or supported options.
