Meta Showcases Open Networking Advancements at OCP Summit 2026
At the 2026 Open Compute Project Global Summit, Meta presented its latest open networking infrastructure. This includes the IcePack liquid-cooled network rack and IceCube switch platform, both capable of 102.4T. Also featured were the Flattened Planar Fabric architecture for scale-out networking and the Tahan Ethernet switch for scale-up. Meta also released open-source versions of its MetaRoCE transport protocol and partnered with Microsoft and Alibaba to launch the Open Switch Platform Architecture initiative for standardizing switch layers.
