Lattice Winding Down, Redstone Chain Shutdown May 15
Lattice, the team behind the MUD onchain game engine and Redstone chain, is shutting down after five years without reaching a sustainable business, with Redstone chain going offline on May 15. Users holding funds in smart contracts on Redstone, including Uniswap liquidity positions, must withdraw before that deadline, as the post-shutdown L1 withdrawal mechanism will only cover EOA balances. MUD, Quarry, and Dozer are being released as fully open source, and DUST will migrate to a dedicated chain hosted by Conduit with Optimism Foundation support.
