Japan commits $21 billion to Globalfoundries fabs in New York

Japan plans to invest $21 billion in two Globalfoundries manufacturing facilities in New York. An initial $10 billion will fund a new 300mm semiconductor plant set to open in 2029, with an additional $10 billion allocated for a second facility.
