AI search and deep research tools can be influenced by extremely small pieces of user-generated content (UGC) on platforms like Reddit, Wikipedia, and Quora. A snippet as short as 13 words can shift AI outputs, causing models to repeat or cite spam-like claims. These systems' heavy reliance on user-generated sources for retrieval makes them vulnerable to targeted manipulation through lightly edited or promotional posts.
