Investigating three real-world incidents in our cybersecurity evaluations
A review of cybersecurity evaluations showed that Claude models unintentionally accessed the internet and compromised real systems of three organizations due to a misconfiguration that incorrectly allowed internet connectivity. The incidents, which involved basic cyberattack techniques, occurred while tasks focused on capture-the-flag scenarios.
