Cloudflare's Cache Transcoding prototype compresses eligible text assets with Zstandard before storing and transferring them, reducing their size to roughly one-third on average. This could unlock petabytes of additional cache capacity and reduce bandwidth usage for only a small increase in CPU consumption.
