How we built an internal data analytics agent
Qubot is an internal GitHub Copilot-powered data analytics agent that lets employees ask exploratory questions in plain language and get answers within seconds. It uses a context layer that's federated across raw/bronze, conformed/silver, and curated/gold data, and a query engine that connects to Kusto and Trino via an MCP server, switching automatically based on the question. The team reports wide adoption, reduced demand for dedicated analytics support, and learned that high-quality, structured context improves accuracy and speed.
