How AI-Ready Is Your Design System? Now You Can Measure It.
The open-design-system-bench is an open-source tool that evaluates how accurately AI coding agents utilize a design system for UI generation. In tests, four systems achieved AI-readiness scores between 52.2 and 63.4, with none reaching the "AI-native" level. Out of 898 graded generations, some AI models completely disregarded the design system, while others incorrectly generated component names.
