Warden Protocol's HALO launched a permissionless AI inference marketplace on Base mainnet, settling operator payments in USDC, with no geographic restrictions or account requirements for model access. The verification mechanism, SPEX (Statistical Proof of Execution), fingerprints model outputs as Bloom filters and tasks independent verifiers with probing them, such that honest runs nearly fully overlap the fingerprint while fabricated outputs fall to the filter's false-positive floor, sidestepping trusted hardware and ZK proofs. HALO token emissions mint only against verified usage on a fixed declining schedule, protocol fees fund programmatic buybacks into a treasury, and zero supply is reserved for venture investors. Users fund accounts via card or crypto with session keys abstracting gas and per-transaction signing while retaining self-custody, though one routing layer remains centralized until federation to staked relayers ships in H2 2026.
