Hacker Group ShinyHunters Targeted Boeing Unit Before Arrests
A teenage suspect believed to be the leader of the ShinyHunters hacking collective has been apprehended and is reportedly cooperating with the FBI after a series of data breaches. Reports suggest the group was in the process of extorting Jeppesen ForeFlight, a former division of Boeing, at the time of the individual's arrest. The investigation had escalated due to the group's widespread exploitation of an Oracle PeopleSoft vulnerability to compromise numerous corporate and government systems.
