Google and Unity introduce Playground for prompt-based game creation
Alphabet's Google, in collaboration with Unity Software, has launched a new platform named Playground. This tool enables users to generate video games by inputting simple text instructions. The platform, which will require users to be 18 or older upon its release, is intended to simplify game development by eliminating the need for coding. An advanced version for professional creators, Unity Spark, is scheduled to be integrated into Playground in late 2026.
