GitHub enhances push protection for unstructured secrets
GitHub has implemented a refined classifier, developed with Microsoft Applied Sciences, to detect unstructured secrets during pushes in under two milliseconds. The company argues that as AI accelerates code generation, secret protection must scale with computing power rather than relying solely on manual fixes. This new capability will be available in a private preview for GitHub Enterprise Cloud, GitHub Teams, and GitHub Enterprise Server 3.23.
