Gemini 4 Argon optimizes Python code in 11 hours
Google Cloud developers evaluated Gemini 4 Argon's ability to automatically refine the adk-python codebase, a 200,000-line project, over an 11-hour period. Using rulefiles and goal mode, Argon proposed six code improvements across 32 files. Two of these optimizations, which involved filtering in-memory session history and lazy loading of large packages, were approved by human reviewers and deployed. These updates reduced long-session preparation time by approximately 40% and accelerated cold package imports by 21%.
