ExecuTorch gains Arm Cortex-M CPU support with CMSIS-NN
PyTorch has introduced a new backend for ExecuTorch that enables PyTorch models to run directly on Arm Cortex-M CPUs, leveraging CMSIS-NN for acceleration. This backend supports various capability tiers through a unified workflow, eliminating the need for cross-framework model conversion. Benchmarks on an Alif Ensemble E8 with four MLPerf Tiny models showed reduced RAM usage, swift inference, and a small flash memory footprint.
