Ernst & Young Data Breach Affects Personal, Financial Information
Ernst & Young experienced a data breach where hackers accessed a third-party service management platform used for client tax work. Sensitive information, including names, addresses, Social Security numbers, account numbers, and card data, was downloaded from support ticket documents. EY has engaged an external incident response firm and is providing two years of credit and identity monitoring services to affected individuals, with no known misuse of data reported yet.
