Accelerators are those who use AI while retaining an understanding of the implementation, while vibecoders are those who treat code as disposable and invest in specifications and evaluation. Teams must agree on maintenance expectations and preserve the intent behind decisions because reading every line does not by itself eliminate cognitive or intent debt.
