Deepseek's new model excels at agentic tasks, slashes costs
Chinese AI firm Deepseek has introduced Deepseek-V4.1-Flash-1017, available on its platforms and as an open-weight model via Hugging Face and ModelScope. This model, enhanced through reinforcement learning with self-feedback, reportedly achieves superior performance in end-to-end software development and coding benchmarks compared to larger competitors, while also operating faster and generating more concise outputs. Furthermore, Deepseek is offering developers access to its internal search engine through new Search and Fetch APIs.
