DeepSeek to Raise at Least $12 Billion in Tencent-Backed Funding
Sources report that artificial intelligence firm DeepSeek is nearing the close of a funding round to raise at least 80 billion yuan, or roughly $12 billion. The financing has surpassed initial capital-raising targets following the release of the company's latest AI model and precedes an initial public offering planned for early 2027.
