Cursor customers will lose access to OpenAI coding models in November
OpenAI says it will stop providing its coding models to Cursor on November 12, giving customers roughly 10 weeks to switch models or platforms. Beyond Cursor, the bigger enterprise lesson is vendor dependency: model availability inside AI tools can change because of acquisitions, contracts, competition, or regulation, making multi-model support increasingly important.
