Coinbase announces major product expansion at investor day
Coinbase has launched a series of new products across four categories: tokenized stocks (non-US users, 1:1 backed, dividends, voting rights, 24/7 trading, collateral use), options trading, pre-IPO perps for Anthropic and OpenAI, stock index perps, and enhanced prediction markets. They also introduced Coinbase Advisor (SEC-registered AI investment advisor) and Coinbase for Agents (allows AI systems to connect and trade within defined sub-account limits, supported by Base MCP and x402 protocol). For payments, a full-stack enterprise solution and a Coinbase One Card (5% BTC travel rewards, 3.5% USDC cashback) were launched. Lastly, the Base Ledger was introduced for private, compliance-ready enterprise transactions on Base.
