CNCF Announces Graduation of Cloud Native Buildpacks, Advancing the Standard for Container Builds
The Cloud Native Computing Foundation has graduated Cloud Native Buildpacks, an open source project that builds OCI-compliant container images directly from application source code. This project, created by Pivotal and Heroku in 2018, now has 535 contributors and is adopted by companies like DigitalOcean, GitLab, Google, and Bloomberg. It achieved graduation after a third-party security review and receiving an OpenSSF Best Practices badge.
