Cloudflare partners with Deno for self-hosted Workers
Cloudflare is collaborating with the Deno team to integrate the celld runtime into workerd, enabling a supported method for running Workers applications independently. This change means Deno runtime development will conclude after another year of releases, and Deno Deploy will cease operations in six months, with assistance offered to paying customers for migration to Cloudflare. JSR infrastructure will transfer to Cloudflare, while rusty_v8 development will continue for workerd integration.
