Canadian spy agency says it hacked drug traffickers, extremists, and a ransomware gang last year
Canada's CSE describes three foreign hacking operations and one defensive action. It disrupted fentanyl chemical brokers, weakened an extremist group's online recruitment, and shut down a ransomware-as-a-service gang, wiping data from its servers. It also ran technical disruptions against 10 major ransomware groups and broke up a phishing campaign hitting Canadian government systems.
