Anthropic's Updated Budget AI Model Enhances Security and Reduces Costs
Anthropic has launched Claude 5.5 Haiku, a budget-friendly artificial intelligence model that offers increased speed and reduced operational expenses. This new version incorporates advanced cybersecurity measures, better protection against prompt injection attacks, and more economical token rates. The model demonstrated a 99.71% success rate in safely handling harmful requests and showed marked improvements in refusing inappropriate coding and computer-related tasks compared to previous iterations. Furthermore, Anthropic has lowered cache read prices for Sonnet 5.5 and initiated beta testing for computer and browser functionalities within its Python and TypeScript software development kits.
