Anthropic Unveils Claude Haiku 5.5, Cuts Sonnet 5.5 Cache Prices
Anthropic has launched Claude Haiku 5.5, a compact AI model designed for tasks like automated browsing, high-volume summarization, and repetitive operations, costing approximately one-fourth of the previous Haiku 4.5 version. In conjunction with the Haiku announcement, the company also reduced the cost of cache reads for its Claude Sonnet 5.5 model by fifty percent, bringing it down to $0.10 per million tokens. The new Haiku 5.5 model is priced comparably to OpenAI's GPT-6 Luna and surpasses it in various published performance tests.
