Anthropic offers free AI security scanner for open source
Anthropic has introduced OSS Scanner, a complimentary service that utilizes AI models like Claude Mythos to identify vulnerabilities in open-source projects. Project maintainers can opt into the service by submitting a pull request to the scanner's GitHub repository, including a configuration file and a Dockerfile for local environment setup. Anthropic reports that the tool has already flagged over 29,000 potential vulnerabilities and has disclosed more than 6,000 flaws, leading to 584 official advisories.
