AI is erasing the lines between jobs
AI is making jobs become much more interdisciplinary and require higher-level thinking as a result. Commercial employees' work is becoming more technical, and R&D employees' work is becoming less technical. AI serves as an effective boundary-spanning mechanism that helps professionals reason across traditional domain boundaries and approach problems more holistically. It is making less and less sense to define oneself by a narrow task bag.
