Accelerating EDR Evasion with LLM-Driven Analysis
SpecterOps researchers use LLMs to assist with reverse engineering and analysis of commercial EDRs. This post walks through using GPT-5.5-Cyber to analyze Palo Alto Networks' Cortex XDR agent through in-process DLL review, YARA, behavioral rule extraction, and local model extraction. The researchers then used the LLM to build emulation suites to test EDR evasion techniques against emulated EDRs.
